I spent a long time making myself smaller than I needed to be.

Quiet in rooms where I had something to say. Second guessing decisions I already knew the answer to. Keeping my prices low because I was scared people would not see the value. Telling myself I could not do something because the safe zone felt safer than the alternative.

And the one I am most honest about now…

I used to liquidate my personality in rooms full of people I felt intimidated by. Mirror them. Shrink. Fit in. Spend the whole time being a slightly diluted version of myself so nobody would notice I felt out of place.

None of it served me. None of it served my business. And none of it was true! 🙌🏻

The only person not seeing my value was me. The only person keeping me quiet was me. The only person who needed to back me was me. (Lightbulb moment!)

I stopped saying all of it because I realised the version of me that was holding back was not protecting me. She was just keeping me small.

It is still a work in progress. Some days more than others. But the rooms I walk into now, I show up as exactly who I am.

And the right people always notice.

I spent years thinking I needed more before I could sort my operations out.

Another tool. The latest laptop. A sparkly office. Every networking event I could fit in. A coach who would just tell me exactly what to do. 😣

None of it made the difference I thought it would.

More project management tools did not fix the fact that the foundations were not right. The new laptop just needed to be fast and functional, nothing else. The desk in my hallway worked fine for years. And saying yes to every networking event left me burnt out, surrounded by business cards I never followed up on and with no time to actually do the work.

The thing that actually moved the needle was none of those things.

It was getting the fundamentals right. The systems. The structure. The client journey. Not perfect, just built properly for how the business actually works.

Everything else, if I am honest, was procrastination dressed up as preparation.

Don’t get stuck in perfection mode! 🙌🏻

About yesterday.. I spent the best day with @emmasflorist in London, for @lisajohnsonstrategist Proximity Dinner & OMG it did not disappoint on so many levels.

I have known of Emma for years in the business world, but 2026 was the year we actually got to know each other & I am so thankful for that, she is one incredible human!

Now, about this Dinner.. the vibe, the people, the food.. all next level! Surrounding yourself with people that build you up, encourage and support but also push you out of the fear zone.. that’s what it is all about!

Who says business isn’t fun! I was great to meet you @laurenlepley_ @property_by_rochelle @nikihutchison @rachaelhall_wealth @akpbrandingstories and so many more incredible humans I didn’t get chance to deep dive in chat with… I’ll be making up for that!

Honestly, helping my clients get clarity is the absolute best thing.. mushy moment alert 🚨

If you would have asked me 13 years ago, if this is the kind of thing I would get to do, day in and day out, I wouldn’t have believed you..

It’s my dream job, only it’s not a job.. it’s what I have built (blood, sweat and a lot of tears along the way and anyone telling you it’s a walk in the park setting up and running a business is a liar liar pants on fire 🔥), ground up, brick by brick. Was it a rollercoaster, yes! Is it worth it.. absolutely.

After our call, my client said… and I quote ‘it was so good, I knew it would streamline things but you’ve given me clarity on my offers, what I’ve been charging and even my boundaries! GOD LOVE YOU.

And that right there.. that’s why I do this!

Last week I had a client journey mapping call that reminded me exactly why I love this work.

She came on not really clear on what she was selling, to who, or what any of it looked like once someone actually said yes.

And by the end of the call we had three clear offer areas, a client journey that made sense and a pricing structure she felt genuinely confident about for the first time.

She was excited. Not relieved. Excited. There is a difference.

The thing is, it was not actually that complicated. It just felt that way because she had been trying to hold all of it in her head on her own.

That is what happens when you finally let someone else help you see it clearly. The fog lifts and it turns out most of it was fixable all along.

My offer suite was not as clear as it needed to be. There. I said it. 😊

I help founders get clarity on how their business runs and somewhere along the way I had been so busy building that I had not stopped to look properly at what I was actually offering and whether it made sense to the people I want to work with and actively shouted out to my dream clients!

So I did what I always do with my clients. I stopped, audited it honestly and rebuilt it around what I love doing and how I do my best work with people.

The result is Ops & Order. A tiered operational partnership for established founders who are ready to stop holding the backend of their business together by sheer willpower and start building something that actually works (more details to come). Don’t panic, that of course still includes the dream team for VA Support in the Agent (if it isn’t broke, don’t fix it!) - Now I have all the work that comes with that..website updates, Dubsado updates, content updates.. send wine… and snacks…but it will all be worth it.. I am so ready for it!

Sometimes the most important work you can do is on your own business first.
