Functioning fine, but feeling heavy?

That was the vibe for one of my clients recently.
She wasn’t in MELTDOWN mode. She wasn’t behind. She was just… tired.

Too many mental tabs open in her brain, too many little things stealing her headspace.

We spent 2 hours together untangling it all in a Re-set & Focus session, to help her close some of those mental tabs!

We started with mapping out what’s actually working, what’s not, and where her energy was leaking.

We looked at all her service offerings and how the client journey worked from enquiry and booking, to delivery and offboarding.

We discussed whats systems would be better suited to the way she wants her business to run (AND which ones didn't cause overwhelm, because let's face it, some systems feel like a rubix cube to work out!)

We pulled together a clear action plan of what to do, when to do it by and if she could outsource some if so she didn't have to do it all by herself.

By the end, she wasn’t on the brink of burning out anymore (more hours to sleep again, yay!), she was lighter. Clearer. Calmer.

Sometimes you don’t need to rebuild the whole business. You just need space, strategy, and a pair of fresh eyes to work through it and give you the support you need to be able to take the right steps forward.

If things feel heavier than they should, it might be time to pause, reset and focus.

He had built a seriously good business.
He is brilliant at what he does.
But behind the scenes?
Things were, well a little overwhelming and screaming for some structure.

He had hit that tipping point where growth starts to feel… heavy and not FUN!
He was trying to bring in associates, but the lack of systems made it hard to keep things running smoothly.. and just added to the overwhelm.

We landed on ClickUp and then he asked me to stay on as his strategic partner and implement all the magic we had planned (buzzing!)..

So, I built:
👍 A working Project Management System
👍 An automated workflow for new clients
👍 Dashboards for visibility on projects, sales and the team
👍 Zapier automations to create client folders and project lists in ClickUp when contracts are signed in Dubsado

Once it was all set up (as well as doing some mutual happy dances) he is:

✅ Not guessing what’s next, his system does that for him
✅ Not micromanaging the team, the system keeps it in check
✅ No longer feeling overwhelmed with the workload

He has clarity, space, and control again.

That’s what smart systems do.
They don’t just tidy things up, they change how you feel in your business. (I am all about the feels!)

I'm 39 for now (40 next May 2026) and currently living my best “cup of tea + sea breeze” era. I will be saying goodbye to the 30's with the full RIP Black Cake vibes..

I’m a dog mum to Barney, my little shadow. I adore him… but I’m not a massive dog person beyond him and I’m okay with that.

Worcester born (yes, like the sauce) & it was an epic place to grow up!

Did the Australia thing in my 20s and would go back in a heartbeat, to re-visit, just not for the airport bit because… absolute ball-ache.

The sea is my happy place. I’ll swim in it, sit by it, listen to it and hunt sea glass for hours like a magpie. Rivers and lakes? Nope. Hard pass, something freaks me out about them, not sure what, I appreciate it makes ZERO sense.

I’m an introvert who thrives at home, ideally under a blanket, candles burning, with a good book (my only reading rule: if it doesn’t hook me in five chapters, I’m out).

I follow the lunar cycle and I’m fully obsessed with all things apothecary; learning, making, and trying gentle home remedies that make life feel a little more grounded.

I LOVE the seasons, but I am a full blown Autumn Girl!

Bread baking is my moving meditation. Flour, water, stretch, fold, breathe. It quiets the noise.

I’m also a proud passenger princess (husband prefers to drive, win, win).

I’m still unlearning the old “fit in” script and the “am I enough?” soundtrack. At nearly 40, I’m choosing soft edges, slow mornings, and being exactly who I am, no apology needed (it's taking some work!).

Dream home? A timber cabin in the woods by a lake… or a tiny cottage by the sea. I’ll happily take either.

I love a spreadsheet because a well built, organised system = calmer brain.

And in one sentence, what I do:
I help women led businesses simplify the backend so they can breathe again, calmer systems, clearer headspace.
